After a great deal of trying to refrain from my neo-luddite instincts, I finally manned up, put my Underwood away and claimed a domain on the unreal world. Here it is. Handsome Furs are now handsomefurs.com. But we still exist live too. In the real world of actions and smells.
Dear Dan and Alexei,
After seeing that Wolf Parade is on the docket for the Sasquatch Music Festival in Washington I was disheartened that Handsome Furs was not also on the list. It was my hope that when Wolf Parade was rumored to play that just maybe Alexei would also be there and Handsome Furs could play a bit as well.
It’s been to long since I have seen you guys, in sum, kick ass. It was back in April of 2008 in Seattle (The show that was made into a CD). All of us have had wondering feet since then, but alas I will be in the same place as you guys at last!
I would be quite excited if you guys could play sometime during the four days. I would instantly stop what ever I would be doing to see you guys play again. Some rouge secret show at minimum I say.
I admire your traveling and your music. It’s not often a band has the willingness to travel far and wide and use it to influence the music. It’s been a staple of my musical diet for a long time.
