Very sad to hear this And also… I feel lucky to have seen and met you when you played the Wolf Parade gig in Zagreb and then last summer on Terraneo. Hopefully you’ll keep making more of the fantastic music I have enjoyed over the last years. Keep the chin up! Best of luck to you both!

I can’t even put it in to words how hearing this news makes me feel but it reminds me of how my 14 year old self felt when my then girlfriend went off to space camp and left me for some pre-pubescent astronaut.
I think I’m seriously heartbroken but wish you guys nothing but the best and hope all is well. Your music touched me so deep that I could listen to it when I was happy, when I was sad, and your albums were also my go to when I brought a lady back home yet in all these instances it fit perfectly. Thanks for being such great people every time I got to talk to you and putting on such heartfelt shows every performance. You guys are definitely going out while you’re on top and your music is timeless. Glad I got to show you guys my Plague Park tattoo on your last tour while I had the chance.

Fuck, I’ve never felt so gutted about a band calling it a day! Was lucky enough to catch you guys a few times when you came through the UK and I can honestly say you were the coolest, most likeable band I’ve ever seen/briefly chatted to.

Will really miss waiting to see what the Furs would do next – you guys were the tits! Thanks!

Hi guys – So sorry to hear Handsome Furs is no more. Sound Kapital is more than my favorite album of 2011, but also you wrote the soundtrack to our adoption of our son in China in the late summer. Repatriated has an emotional connection to me that time won’t erase. Thanks so much for sharing it with the world.

Indeed a bummer, but I can certainly say you guys are going out on top. I’ve loved every one of your records, but Sound Kapital might very well be my favorite. I’m especially glad I was able to catch you guys live a bunch of times – your Bowery Ballroom show last year was killer, and proved in no uncertain terms that “Repatriated” was the best song of 2011. No matter what you guys do next, all of your future endeavors, you have a lifelong fan in me.

I saw you two play every time you came to Ottawa. I bought all your albums, which is something I don’t do too often. I really liked you. I can’t ever remember being actually upset over a band breaking up. It’s actually kind of surprising to me… Hope everything’s okay with everything else, and best of luck in the future.
